Target: Well-being, the bid to the Big Lottery Fund’s Well-being programme from the North West Well-being Partnership, has now been submitted to the Big Lottery Fund. We expect to hear if the bid is successful in July.

If successful, the portfolio bid focuses on projects that will increase physical activity (including walking, cycling and access to green space), increasing healthy eating (including food growing projects and access to healthy food) and improving mental health.

The final bid is made up of three elements: ten local area-based programmes, two pan-regional programmes and a regional support network. 85% of the programme will be delivered by the voluntary and community sector.

Groundwork Northwest and the wider North West Well-being Partnership would like to take this opportunity to thank all those at a local and regional level who have helped to put the portfolio together. Thanks to a lot of effort in a short timescale, we believe we have been able to put together an extremely strong proposal to the Big Lottery Fund from the North West.

You can download a briefing from this page that gives a flavour of the bid and outlines the steps ahead.
